GCC’s in-house Legionella Compliance services will give you the peace of mind and formal documentary backup to ensure that your hot and cold water systems are fully compliant with the ongoing maintenance elements of
- Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) L8
- HSG274 (Guidance),
- BS 8558:2015 Guide to the design, installation, testing and maintenance of services supplying water for domestic use within buildings and their curtilages
- PD 855468:2015 Guide to the flushing and disinfection of services supplying water for domestic use within buildings and their curtilages
Delivered by GCC’s specialist in-house teams, Legionella Compliance services can be part of a wider Hot and Cold-Water System Management contract or delivered as a standalone service.
Shower-heads and other dead-legs are cleaned and disinfected quarterly (or more frequently as required) using chemicals with proven biocidal efficacy against Legionella bacteria in accordance with GCC’s task-specific Risk Assessment & Method Statements (RAMS).
The service can be bunded with other maintenance activities including cold water tank inspections and remedial repairs, periodic steam, carpet & upholstery cleaning to deliver added value.
Remote Monitoring
Temperature checking can also be automated using permanent, on-site monitoring and data-acquisition sensors supported by offsite data analysis and alarm functionality. This 24/7 monitoring provides a far more thorough overview of a hot and cold water system, allowing trend analysis that can identify potential failures before they occur.
