Preventative Deep Cleaning For Businesses Effected By Coronavirus

GCC’s teams can take on proactive deep cleans alongside your incumbent cleaning protocols. Deep cleans are carried to a bespoke specification using GCC’s standard NHS colour coding methodology to prevent cross contamination, using GCC’s specially formulated, branded range of chemicals, details of which can be found below.

Stop The Spread

In order to limit the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) within premises, it is important to expand the scope of standard daily, weekly and monthly cleaning protocols to include and put extra emphasis on touchpoints where the virus can be transferred. Here's how GCC can help:

Preventative Deep Cleaning

Should organisations have to stay open during this period, a preventative deep clean during working hours gives staff confidence in the sterility of surroundings. A deep clean can include all hard & soft surfaces, floors, all touch points, windows (inside & out), food preparation areas, woodwork and furniture.

Preventative Deep Cleaning

Many organisations that have taken the decision to remain open either fully or partially staffed are supporting this by instructing preventative deep cleans, often during working hours to give staff confidence in the sterility of their surroundings. A deep clean will also include areas of the premises that would usually only be addressed on six-monthly or an annual basis and can include all hard & soft surfaces, floors (method dependant on material), all touch points, windows (inside and out), toilets, food preparation areas, all woodwork and furniture.

 Chemicals and disinfectants

GCC’s branded hard surface cleaner is both an antibacterial agent (to decontaminate) and a surfactant (a detergent and dispersant), reducing the two step WHO & PHE recommended cleaning protocol down to a single clean. GCC uses a biocidal disinfectant for fogging which has been highly tested & proven effective against all bacteria, viruses, spores, & fungi while remaining safe to use and fully biodegradable.

GCC’s branded hard surface cleaner is both an antibacterial agent (to decontaminate) and a surfactant (a detergent and dispersant). It also contains Alkyl Benzyl Dimethyl Ammonium Chloride which delivers the best antimicrobial results of any chemical available in the UK. Due to it being both a detergent and a disinfectant it reduces the two step WHO and PHE recommended cleaning protocol down to a single clean.

Post COVID-19 Decontamination Cleans

Following a confirmed case of Coronavirus (COVID-19), it is imperative to ensure that the whole area is fully disinfected before reoccupation. GCC uses Bio-fogging, a sterilisation technique that creates a dry or wet mist which eliminates a high percentage, if not all, pathogens that cannot be reached by conventional cleaning. Biocides are used in the process and is proven to work effectively against viruses, fungi, spores and bacteria such as COVID-19, SARS, Influenza, MRSA, C.difficile, Norovirus.

Following a confirmed case of Coronavirus (COVID-19), it is imperative to ensure that the whole area is fully disinfected before reoccupation.GCC uses Bio-fogging, a sterilisation technique that creates a dry or wet mist which eliminates a high percentage, if not all, pathogens that cannot be reached by conventional cleaning. It is a long-established and recognised method of sterilising an entire surface area, including walls, ceilings, furnishing, carpets and floors. The methods involved in the Bio-fogging process have been used and developed over a number of years.

Bio-fogging is an extremely effective sterilisation method. Biocides are used in the process and is proven to work effectively against viruses, fungi, spores and bacteria such as COVID-19, SARS, Influenza, MRSA, C.difficile, Norovirus.

The biocides we use to conform to the EU Standards Biocide Directive.

The process works by filling a room with a fine mist that can vary from 5 - 50 micron particles (1 micron = 1 millionth of a metre or 1 thousandth of a millimetre. 1mm = 1 thousandth of a metre). These particles being so small, remain suspended in the air long enough to kill some of the airborne viral or bacterial contamination, but as the particles settle onto all surfaces, even the ones never touched by conventional cleaning, the biocide continues to kill any surface contamination and more importantly prevents any future cross contamination.
The chemical formulation includes positive charged Ions that give the product the ability to adhere to any surface that the particles come in contact with, be it the underside of furniture, walls or ceilings.
