GCC is delighted to announce that it has recently achieved accreditation from ContractorPlus. Claire Maclean, GCC’s Operations Director added, “The main benefit to GCC in holding these accreditations is in developing and improving our processes internally and being able to demonstrate this to potential new clients.” ContractorPlus provides clients with a robust contractor health and safety pre-qualification system. They check contractor’s health and safety documentation including risk assessments, policies, method statements, insurance levels, etc. GCC Facilities Management plc has already achieved ISO9001, ISO14001, OHSAS 18001, Safecontractor and Altius accreditations.
Please remember that if your contract requires you to work Bank Holidays that this includes Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day and 4th January (for Scotland). If your contract includes these days and you are unable to provide cover, please let your account manager know as soon as possible. If a different person is cleaning over the holiday period, please let your client as well as your account manager know.
If your usual working day falls on a Bank Holiday, please discuss with the client and arrange a mutually convenient alternative day to clean. Please also inform your account manager. Please check the specification as to whether it includes Bank Holidays. If this is the case, you need to clean on these days. If you are unable to, please make alternative arrangements and let your account manager, and client, know what these are.
